got my ozone a couple of weeks ago, there was a mixup at the warehouse here in eu so i didn’t get my articulating keyboard and triple monitor mounts at the getgo but tiago got it sorted and i got the parts a week after, it’s always nice coming home to see a package outside your door 😀
i made some mods for it since i wanted a 4th monitor mount and i have 5.1 surround sound.
3×27″ monitors in nvidia surround and a 23,6″ for utillity, the back speakers are made out of 20mm steel pipe bent (with a pipe bender) in 3 places to get the right curve, so i can lean back without bumping into the speakers.
i mounted the tabletop by drilling 4 holes halfway through it and corresponding holes on the mounting plate, found some black wood screws and cut them in the right lenght, so they don’t go all the way through
i got some m8 70mm black bolts for the back speakers so i could mount the keyboard tray on the outside and the speaker mounts on the inside(the last 2 holes).
the speaker wire runs inside the steel pipe.
my front left/right speaker mounts, some aluminum 5x20x300mm…..i might give them some paint too at some point.
mounted the 4th monitor and the center speaker on some 20mm steel pipe.
the speakers are logitech z906, but the bolt hole on the back of the speakers aren’t metric, somewhere between m5 and m6, so i had to improvise a bit(couldn’t find any bolts that fit).
i took some long m5 bolts and cut the head off them, glued them on/in the hole of the speakers with epoxy, works just as good.
loving the obutto ozone, cheers from denmark 😀
