    Hello all,
Just requesting a bit of advice re the bass shakers that I have installed on my R3. As seen in the pics, I have mounted them on a 3mm plate that I have seated on top of the frame and placed the seat on the plate and bolted down as usual.

I cannot feel much vibration at all. I am wondering if the plate is too big and absorbing a lot of the vibration, and is metal a bad choice? Is the placement of the plate a bad idea?

    Plate #1

Admittedly I am using an amp that was built into a 5.1 speaker system subwoofer ( a really cheap one at that), cutting the wires to the subwoofer and wiring in the bass shakers in leiu of the woofer (dog joke right there).

However I used this same rig on an Akers Barnes and it was *really* effective, which makes me wonder about the choice of metal vs wood.

Look forward to hearing ppl’s thoughts.

    Thanks, John
