I put together my newly arrived Ozone yesterday evening in the middle of my living room so I could “lock down” where I wanted my side mounts to be, how I’ll reach my G27 wheel and shifter, ergonomics of my keyboard and mouse on the kb+m tray, etc.. Had some questions:

Firstly, it feels like my G27 pedals are not going to stay put while being used in any of the tilt settings for the pedal tray, so I think I want to either hard mount them or Velcro attach them directly to the metal (probably the latter). Do people usually remove the ribbed rubber covering before doing such things?

Secondly, the keyboard and mouse tray does not look like it is going to work out for my needs. I have a rather large keyboard that I love (MS Natural Ergo 4000) and typically enjoy a really large mousing surface (about 30cm x 30cm). It looks like the articulating keyboard setup has the same top as the Ozone setup. Is this correct? If so, are there any known modifications/additions that people have added to add some surface area to these trays?

Thirdly, does anyone have any resources they can link me to that can give my complete ignorance of tools and drills and the like the knowledge needed to hard mount stuff to the wheel mount, the pedal mount (if I go that route), etc? Drill patterns? Type of drill bits needed? Type of screws? My google-fu is failing me horribly.
