While we use the widest seat design with flared open bolsters, we are all shaped differently and carry our weight in different places. After 9yrs of selling our cockpits we have many 300-350lbs guys very happy with their seats, while we’ve seen a few 220-250lbs guys finding the bolsters prodding them in various areas.

The good news is we use a steel tube framed seat so it’s quite easy to “massage” the bolsters out of the way with a few whacks with a rubber mallet! If you find the seat bottom bolsters are not wide enough please contact me for a link to a short video showing how to flare them out more. The same can be applied to the seat back bolsters, or shoulder bolsters, just locate the steel tubing underneath the foam edge and whack it with a rubber mallet.

If you only have a hammer, then place a wood block over the strike area and hit the wood block instead to distribute the force.

*Please note, it is possible to tear the foam padding but since it’s out of the way it really doesn’t make much difference*

For a link to the video just email me personally at the following address…..”my name below* aT obutto d0t c0m

    Best regards,
    Chris
